CRAWLING

Similar to running, crawling is a skill that most of us already mastered when we were very small. And unfortunately, similar to running, our crawling skills have been somewhat lost amidst modern adult life.

Although you may feel clumsy to start with, persevere with this key natural movement. It is awesome for core strength, posture, breathing technique and coordination. Put simply, its an immensely effective exercise that is safe and easy to get to grips with.

Key tips for mastering crawling:

  • Keep your balance and make your movements efficient by moving the opposite hand and leg together.

  • Keep your back flat but flexible - it should not be arched or raised

  • Keep you knees under your hips

  • Hands and feet should point forwards or slightly out.

Many variations are possible, knees of the ground, on your belly, on your back. Play around and discover!
